In addition to religious groups, there are all types of student initiatives, musical associations, theatre groups, and fraternities. You will find all currently active University groups listed on our website: • uni-jena.de/en/free-time University Sports Centre As one of the central facilities of the University of Jena, the University Sports Centre organizes one of the most diverse and comprehensive sports and exercise programmes for students and staff in the region. Every academic year, we have around 26,000 course slots available. Choose from more than 700 courses per semester, managed by over 350 qualified trainers, or take your pick from nearly 20 different events, competitions, workshops and camps. There is something for everyone—from sweat-inducing workouts, different team sports, relaxing Yoga classes to personal training options in our indoor and outdoor facilities. Students are not only our target group, but also actively contribute to the community as experts. With our students as partners, we want to develop and implement new ideas! Every semester, the SGM offers a variety of courses, workshops and activities on topics such as exercise, nutrition, and mental health benefits of positive social interactions.
