53 It is worth exploring the modern university city of Jena from all angles. There is something for every taste here. The University website Campus features numerous ideas on how to spend your free time before and after your day at the University. uni-jena.de/en/jena University magazines The Akrützel has a circulation of 4,500 copies and is published ten times a year resulting in a total circulation of 45,000 copies. The magazine focuses on the latest news in and around the University of Jena and the Jena University of Applied Sciences. It also addresses topics relating to the University of Jena policy, news from the city and region as well as culture. During the lecture period, the magazine reaches half of the 25,000 students in Jena on average every two weeks. The independent magazine Unique is published by students voluntarily. It largely focuses on intercultural and political topics and is published four times a year. TV and radio Students even produce their own TV show in Jena. The Campus TV team broadcast a show every three weeks reporting on news in Jena and interesting topics from across campus. You can follow the shows every Wednesday from 18:00 on JenaTV or on the Campus TV YouTube channel. Every Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 11:00 Campusradio Jena takes over the airwaves on UKW 103.4 / 107.9 and on the online live stream. The show features reports from Jena’s universities, information on current cultural events, and music that moves away from the popular chart hits.
